Rabbi Ariel D. Milan-Polisar
Assistant Rabbi
Rabbi Ariel Milan-Polisar is Congregation Kol Ami’s first Assistant Rabbi, having started in this role in July 2023.
Rabbi Milan-Polisar is originally from Irvington, NY, and attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, where she studied Sociology and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. Having spent 13 summers as a camper and staff member at the URJ Eisner Camp with many rabbinic role models, she knew that being a rabbi was the path for her. After college, she worked at Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, MA, as a Youth Engagement Professional while applying to Rabbinical School.
Having attended Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, NY, she was ordained as a rabbi in May 2021. During her time in rabbinical school, she was the rabbinic intern at Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale, NY. Other communities that she has called home throughout her life are Temple Beth Abraham in Tarrytown, NY, and the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in East Hampton, NY.
For the last two years, she has had the privilege of working with college students, as a Campus Rabbi and Rabbinic Innovation Fellow at Penn Hillel in Philadelphia, PA.
In her free time, you can find her reading contemporary fiction, trying homemade pasta recipes, or fostering dogs. Rabbi Ariel Milan-Polisar is thrilled to be joining the Kol Ami family along with her partner Jason and their dog Lucy.
