Mitzvah Day
This year, we are partnering with several wonderful local organizations, providing multiple ways for each of us to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Projects at Kol Ami:
• Write cards & make bracelets for Israeli soldiers (ages 10+)
• Make custom journals for Samaritan
• Decorate Tzedakah boxes & collect coins to support nature in Israel
• Make cat toys (ages 7+) and pumpkin-peanut butter dog treats (ages 12+) for AWA and Voorhees Animal Orphanage
• Peanut butter & jelly sandwich making for Cathedral Kitchen
• Food drive for JFCS
• and more!
Off-site Projects:
• Cookie making for Gift of Life off-site at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Hill. We will join efforts in support of this project. Space is limited; ages 9+.
• Clean up South Jersey community park, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm. Advance registration required for bus transportation (Bus space is limited). If you wish to meet us there, we’re happy to have you. Park clean up CANCELLED due to inclement weather.
New this year at Kol Ami! Stories and Songs with Rabbi Milan-Polisar and Morah Jill.
Children (and their grown ups) can learn more about MLK and the mitzvah of doing good deeds.
All off-site projects require children to be accompanied by an adult.
