Social Issues in Rogers & Hammerstein Musicals

Using a combination of lecture and song, Mark Pinzur will address the following topics: Racism (South Pacific), Domestic Abuse (Carousel), Colonialism (The King and I), and Xenophobia (Oklahoma!). Attendees will be invited to sing along using lyric sheets that will be provided.

No cost for congregants; $15/person for non-members.

First Thursday programs bring you guest speakers, including congregants and rabbis from around the country, to share their expertise on topics of interest. We will also include several discussions of films with Jewish themes.
