Discussion about the French novel Grandir Ailleurs (Growing Up Elsewhere), penned by a staunch pro-Israel Franco-Syrian Arab raised to harbor animosity towards Israel. The story follows Fadi’s return to his native Syria to reconnect with two childhood friends: one Jewish, the other a captivating woman.  What drives Fadi to persist in uncovering these buried memories?
