First Thursday (on 2nd Wednesday!): The Sacred Earth
The Sacred Earth: A Jewish Perspective on Our Planet
Led by Rabbi Andrue Kahn
Wednesday, April 10, 7:30 pm (Zoom only)
Approaching this moment of environmental crisis from the point of view of avodat HaShem (service of God) and avodat haaretz ( service of the earth), Rabbi Kahn will help us reinvestigate our Jewish approach to the earth as a whole, seeking to regain that balance and how each of us has a role to play. Rabbi Kahn is the editor of The Sacred Earth: Jewish Perspectives on Our Planet and has contributed to several earlier CCAR Press anthologies, including The Sacred Exchange: Creating a Jewish Money Ethic, The Mussar Torah Commentary, and Prophetic Voices: Renewing and Reimagining Haftarah.
No cost for congregants; $15 for non-members.
Registration is required.
Sponsored by the Adult Education and Social Action Committees.
