Book of Remembrance Submission Deadline

September 9

At this time of year, we turn our thoughts to the Days of Awe and High Holy Days, a time of reflection and remembrance. The memories of loved ones we have lost are particularly strong, especially on Yom Kippur. It is during this time when we recite the Yizkor prayer and distribute our book of remembrance, the Mishkan shel Zichronot (Dwelling of Memories). The Mishkan shel Zichronot contains meaningful prayers and readings that can be referenced throughout the year.In addition to the Yizkor service, when the names of those who have passed since last Yom Kippur will be read, the Mishkan shel Zichronot provides an opportunity to acknowledge loved ones we wish to memorialize. This is a tangible way to remember our loved ones and many congregants share the book with parents or other family members so they too are aware of this act of remembrance. Please complete the form (pdf or online) to memorialize loved ones by including their names in the Mishkan shel Zichronot. The funds raised will assist Congregation Kol Ami in providing support to those in need within our congregation. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Submissions are due with payment by Friday, September 9, 2022.
