Kol Ami Players

This group mounts either one or two full-length musical theater productions each year. Their offerings have included complete book musicals (like Fiddler on the Roof and Rags), tributes to Jewish composers (like Gershwin and Sondheim), themed cabarets (like Call Your Mother and Shakespeare: The Musical). And when the pandemic made theater impossible, the Players produced their first full-length video cabaret: The Corona Monologues. Each show has had live instrumental accompaniment, also performed by members of the company. These productions earn enough in ticket sales to reach our fundraising goal for the congregation, and a number have resulted in a substantial financial contribution to the synagogue.

All adult congregants are welcome to participate in the company – on stage, as a musician, or doing all that needs to be done backstage. Contact Beverly Weiss.
